Float therapy
The floating tank (or sensory deprivation tank) is an amazing tool capable of many benefits in both mind and body.
Getting into a float tank is an interesting experience to have. You step into a little pool of water filled with epsom salt, so you are basically floating on top of the water. Technically, the temperature of the water and the air around should be that same as body temperature. This makes you experience an interesting feeling that is hard to describe. You usually will have a hard time to notice where your skin or the water around you start.
On top of that, the room or the tank you are in is completely dark and sound proof, taking away all senses to allow you to just relax and focus within.
Even though it is hard to get used to the idea to be in a dark and closed space for about 90min, your mind learns to relax deeper and “resets” itself. But here are more benefits you can expect.
